RACE DATE: April 2, 2005, Saturday, Rain or Shine. RACE TIME: The 5K Run & 5K Walk, start at 8:00 a.m. The 10K Run starts at 8:40 a.m. The ˝ mile Kids Run, (12-Under) starts approximately at, 9:30 a.m. RACE LOCATION: “On the TRACK”, Compton Community College, Compton, CA. On Artesia Blvd., between Santa Fe & Long Beach Blvd., North of the 91 Fwy. See Thom. Bros. Map, L.A., pg. 735, A7. COURSE: Run in and around the college campus on city streets. Finish, “on the track”. Mile markers, monitored and measured to USATF standards and USATF sanctioned. ˝ mile Kids Run, will compete “on the track”. (12-Under) Course Map Click Here RACE FEE: (non-refundable) $18.00 before March 26, 2005, with shirt. Run Only, $15.00. Both races, add $6.00. ˝ Mile Kids Run, (12-Under) $5.00, Run Only, $13.00 w/shirt. PRE-REGISTRATION: Before March 26, 2005. LATE-REGISTRATION: (non-refundable) After March 26, 2005, $21.00 with shirt, $18.00, Run Only. Race site late registration will begin at 6:30 a.m., “on the TRACK”. See Map for Location & Directions. No Late-Registration fee will be charged to the ˝ Mile Fun/Run participants. Please, No Bandits. ATTENTION: (avoid the lines) By sending a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope with your entry, you will receive your race number and additional upcoming race flyers by mail. Your shirt may be picked-up at the race site, race day, from 6:30 am by presenting your race number at the shirt table, “on the TRACK”. Easy! Merchandise raffle open to all registered participants. 5K Walk awards to the top ten (10) overall walkers. ˝ Mile Kids Fun/Run: (12-Under) Finish Awards to all participants. DIVISIONS: 13-UNDER, 14-17, 18-23, 24-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. Walkers and ˝ mile Kids Fun/Run are OPEN DIVISIONS. PARKING: It is best to enter Compton College and the race site, from the Artesia Blvd. entrance. Use the parking lot on the West side of the Artesia entrance, close to the track. You may also enter on the Greenleaf Blvd. side. Continue South until you see the West parking area. The Registration area is “on the TRACK”.
