Thank you so very much for the wonderful send off you gave me at the last running of Sunset in the Park. I saw so many of my old running friends and we even had a few new comers that tried to convince me that I should continue with this race. Bob Norton still looks good for 70 years. He’s older than me. We go back many years! If you noticed, we are all “getting there”. I was really surprised when Joan, Katharine, Pat and Sharon hung beautiful flower leis around my neck. You all made me so very happy with your warm comments. I will always remember the last, Sunset.

It took me three weeks to recover from the effort that is needed to promote this event. I will now concentrate on my running and travel. Trina and I are making plans for next years travels. Maybe Montenegro or maybe Iceland. The Paramount 10K will not be run in 2009, and I will transfer to the Huntington Beach Rotary club. So it looks like I will change my designation to, “Fully Retired”. It was a great 25 years of exciting runs from Los Angeles to Rosarito Beach, Mexico. “See you on the roads.”
